Is alignment-based. In an Iyengar class, you will be carefully instructed on neck positioning, gaze, foot placement, and even how to roll your yoga blankets. Some Iyengar teachers focus on classes for scoliosis. Iyengar recently passed away a few years ago in his 90’s.

Vinyasa Yoga

Meaning, to flow with breath. In vinyasa yoga, you will feel a flow state. Each pose is linked with breath. Different teacher’s classes may be structured differently. Poses may go in a different and fun order depending on the teacher’s style and personality. Classes may even have popular music in the background. Also, I teach a vinyasa flow class in a hot room Thursdays 10:30-11:30. This yoga class is held at Zen and Now in Niantic, Connecticut. I also teach a room temperature yoga class Sundays at Jul Yoga in East Haddam, Connecticut. Overall, yoga, art, and being outside are aspects to holistic counseling in Niantic, Connecticut!
