This will include comprehensive knowledge of family interactions, assessment of children, adolescents, and teenagers, as well as family strengths and needs. Wisdom Within Counseling is an experiential, play therapy-based practice. Art, yoga, music, talking as well as animal therapy groups are parent of each person’s treatment and sessions. This is not your traditional talk therapy or CBT counseling office.

- Master’s Degree (MA, MFT, MSW) with one to three years prior experience or training in counseling, children, families, and community health
- CT State Licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPC – interns are welcomed.
- 2 years’ experience working with young children (birth to 18+)
- This applicant will be up for being a part of a playful, integrative, growing, new practice.
Wisdom Within Counseling offers flexible scheduling, clinical creativity, and freedom.
Furthermore, we are seeking a Full Time Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to join our creative team! And, this clinician will be responsible for seeing about 15-22 clients per week. Also, other responsibilities include complete documentation and clinical notes. Lastly, these are documented in our electronic health record program online.
To note, the clinician must follow all CT laws and ethical codes.
Also, this clinician will be responsible for case management and connecting with other providers.
Additional certifications
Additionally, any yoga teacher trainings, mindfulness mediation, registered play therapy, or movement certifications are beneficial.
Likewise, licensure in state of CT is a requirement.
Also, applicant should be able to see a minimum 15-22 clients per week. To add, evening and weekend hours are required.
Furthermore, applicant must be kind, holistic, professional, responsible, reliable, humble as well as able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Prior work with children
Additionally, prior clinical work with children is a MUST. Frequently, children as young as toddlers need specialized therapy services. Applicant MUST have clinical experience with play therapy with young children (3-8 years old) and couples.
Must follow the code of ethics in addition to all state and federal laws.
